Mozambican drummer-singer Deodato Siquir is one of his country's most recognized and multi-talented musicians. In 2001 at the age of 26 he moved to Scandinavia and founded his band Deodato Siquir & Balanco. Through his lyrics, which are a mixture of Portuguese, English and raga, Siquir takes his listeners on a journey to different parts of the Southern Hemisphere of the planet. The CD "Balanco" with which he made his debut, in November 2007, appeared in several top 10 charts, among which the distinguished World Music Chart Europe, where he remained for 3 months
