The brainchild of saxophonist and composer David Lynch, a musician with a long presence and creative experience in the Greek jazz scene, the Heavy Metal Brass Band is an ensemble that relies on the sound of brass and the jazzy beat making a music that can move comfortably and originality within a variety of musical avenues and spaces. Heavy Metal Brass Band combines the artistic approach of a saxophone group with the folk quality of a jazz or Balkan brass band and the rhythmic absoluteness of a rock or funk group. The result, in any case, is characterized by freshness and power, by beauty and energy, by passion and charm as it embraces jazz, soul, balkan, afro, latin, greek, oriental or anything else in its own rhythmic funnel.
