Joona Toivanen Trio

The Joona Toivanen Trio interpret jazz in a uniquely intelligent and modern way, relying mainly on their own compositions. Since they started in 1997, their music has been characterized as lyrical, melodic, but at the same time strong and bold. These young and ambitious artists have appeared in various international jazz festivals both in their country and in other Nordic countries. They were chosen to represent Finland at the European Jazz Competition held in France in August 2000. He was also named the winner of the Nordic competition held in Reykjavik, Iceland in September 2000.
