Michaela Rabitsch is a singer, composer, as well as the unique and leading jazz trumpeter in Austria. The American magazine Jazzscene characterizes her as a modern female version of Chet Baker. Michaela and her brilliant collaborator, composer and keen guitarist Robert Pawlik captivate both the press and the public with their repertoire that includes jazz, pop and Latin tunes. They perform jazz with memorable melodies, strong harmonies, modern rhythms and daring improvisations in a harmoniously balanced combination of voice and musical instruments. Their original, atmospheric compositions, which dominate the repertoire, give them a unique, charming profile. The entire repertoire features sophisticated melodies interspersed with a dose of blues. For fifteen years they have shared their personal and musical lives, playing together in their jazz quartet and acoustic duo, writing for both and performing together on concert tours.
