An Englishwoman in New York, Lucy Woodward, has been in total creative activity in recent years with the great jazz guitarist Charlie Hunte. As a result, she released two albums with him (\"Music! Music! Music!\" and \"I'm a Stranger Here\") with covers of a broad repertoire, from Bessie Smith to Elmore James and from there to Terence Trent D'Arby and the Cars. Lucy Woodward began her artistic \/ recording career in pop, but soul, blues, and jazz eventually drew her in and dominated her recording output from 2008 to 2016. Her collaboration with Pink Martini was something that also sealed the career of this remarkable soulful singer.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
