Since the end of the 60s, Lithuania has been an \"open door\" for the jazz of that era to enter the mainstream of the modern Soviet music scene. Thus, in the 80s, many musicians from Lithuania (and the Baltic Republics, in general) had acquired an international artistic name and passport. Labutis (but also Molokojedovas and Laurinavicius) were among them - with the result that the present group - which was formed in Vilnius 16 years ago - is not only the identity but also the jazz elite of this small country.
