Thanasis Zervas & Athens Jazzquar

Saxophonist Thanasis Zervas has collaborated with big names in jazz, such as the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, saxophonist Bunky Green, composer and arranger William Rosso, trumpeter Orbert Davis, etc. The Athens Jazzquar ensemble, which he created in 1998, has Bepop as its starting point, but develops aesthetically through new forms and improvisational techniques, combining elements of contemporary music.
