Every year, Athens Jazz presents a diverse lineup showcasing the most contemporary and creative expressions of jazz. From improvisation and contemporary jazz to electronic elements, hip-hop influences, and bold crossovers with other musical genres, the festival’s program reflects the ongoing evolution of a musical genre that remains open, vibrant, and without boundaries.
In 2026, the festival marked its 25th anniversary, reaffirming its enduring role as a reference point for the jazz scene in Athens and beyond. For more than two decades, Athens Jazz has been bringing artists from Greece and around the world to Technopolis City of Athens, creating a meeting place for diverse musical cultures, ideas, and artistic approaches. Each lineup offers an opportunity for experimentation, exploration, and new musical experiences.
Throughout this journey, the festival has hosted distinctive events that reflect its continuous evolution: in 2022, with Women in Jazz, Athens Jazz presented for the first time a lineup dedicated exclusively to female artists, while in 2024 it staged its largest edition to date, spanning nine days, with MEUTE performing on the opening day and BADBADNOTGOOD closing the festival.
