Παντελής Στόικος & Trio Balkano

Pantelis Stoikos is one of the most creative trumpeters of the modern world jazz scene in the Balkans. He began his contact with music in 1990 and in 1994 he took his first trumpet lessons alongside the piano. He continues his studies at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki and excels in many areas of music. He focuses on the sounds of his region, Macedonia, expanding them with jazz and classical music styles. Since 1997 he has been collaborating with the Florina Band and with a multitude of groups and artists of traditional music, jazz, improvisation, contemporary etc. From the duo Improvisation in Balkan Jazz came Trio Balkano, with Lakis Tzimkas on bass and Alexandros Papadopoulos on drums.
