A British-born Bahraini, an excellent trumpeter, composer and producer who finds imaginative ways to combine jazz practice with contemporary electronic landscapes, introducing highly recognizable elements from her mixed cultural heritage to the extent that her music is sometimes described as "psychedelic Arabic jazz", Yazz Ahmed already occupies a prominent place in the contemporary jazz scene.
