Spanish pianist Daniel García Diego is one of the new creative forces of his country's jazz scene – but also, in a broader perspective, of the European one, as he already has two excellent albums released on the famous German jazz label ACT (“Travesuras” in 2019 and “Via de la Plata” in 2021 – the second with the participation of the great Ibrahim Maalouf, Gerardo Nunez and Anat Cohen). His music is a natural blend of different genres, such as jazz and flamenco, classical and folk Spanish music, rock and electronic music, in a way that is always creatively fascinating and aesthetically pure in terms of composition and performance (complemented by his two Cuban friends – Reinier “El Negrón” on the double bass and Michael Olivera on the drums).
