Ibrahim Electric

In recent years, Ibrahim Electric has emerged as one of the most popular European jazz groups. Its members – beyond their popularity as a group – have already distinguished themselves as independent figures in Danish jazz, in their respective instruments. And while they come from different musical worlds, they make an "inspirational mix" in which no style is off limits! Guitarist Niclas Knudsen comes mainly from modern jazz, but his inspiration starts from the roots of Afro-Cuban music and the blues. Organist Jeppe Tuxen is in the tradition of soul, rock and organ-funk of the ΄60s. Drummer Stefan Pasborg has worked with contemporary jazzmen such as Tomasz Stanko and Marc Ducret, but is clearly influenced by New Orleans and African drums.
