HDV Trio

This group takes its name from the initials of its members - who are pianist David Helbock, bassist Lucas Dietrich and drummer Marc Vogel. In recent years this trio has been in the spotlight on the Austrian jazz scene - especially since 2006 when they won the international jazz competition "New Generation 06" in Staubing, Germany. The fact is particularly important if one considers that they had to face more than 60 "competitors". Naturally, their success attracted media attention and the HDV Trio's name began to be heard internationally. They released their first CD, "Celebrating Modern Genius", by the German company Doublemoon in collaboration with the magazine "JazzThing".
