Pianist Fabian Kallerdahl is one of the fastest rising names on the contemporary Swedish jazz scene. He recently distinguished himself in his homeland's established annual institution, "Jazz in Sweden", which has earned him (among other things) a record deal with Caprice Records and a nationwide tour in the fall of 2006. One of the most dynamic acts in Swedish jazz. , has been seen in recent years both by his own group, the trio MusicMusicMusic, and by his participation in Andreas Gidlund's quartet. Born in Gothenburg in 1977, Fabian Kallerdahl started playing the piano at the age of seven and since then his path has been full of musical studies to the highest level. His main form in recent years is the group MusicMusicMusic, which has stood out thanks to the talent of its members (besides Fabian Kallerdahl on piano, it is Josef Kallerdahl on bass and Michael Edlund on drums), which is reflected in his albums, with compositions by Kallerdahl, but also modern jazz standards (Parker, Coltrane, etc.). For the recent project “Jazz in Sweden”, Fabian Kallerdahl formed a quartet with Per Flamman Westling (guitar), Stefan Wingefors (bass), and Lars Lade Kjellfelt (drums). All the tracks, except one, are compositions of the same, foreshadowing a bright future.
