Guitarist Mark O'Leary was born and raised in Cork. As a jazzman he is particularly gifted and this is proven both by the many concerts he has given in Europe and America, but also by his collaborations with great musicians such as Jack DeJohnette, Bobo Stenson, Kenny Wheeler, Steve Swallow, Pierre Favre and Paul Bley (of which he was a permanent partner for a time). Especially for his concert at this event, he collaborates with Greek musicians - bassist Kostas Konstantinou and drummer Spyros Panagiotopoulos - thus closing the curtain on the 4th European Jazz Festival in Athens.
