Lesní zvěř, which loosely translates into Sylvan Game, insist on conceptualizing nu-jazz not so much as a music necessarily connected with jazz in the historical sense of the word, but as common ground, a starting point for spontaneous and exciting journeys where they can wildly exploit their imagination free from the constraints of genre. The world has changed since their early studio releases in the late ‘00s, but their live performances remain their primary strength, utilizing the concept of musical performance as a happening for major festivals and events all over the world, like Colours of Ostrava 2016, the Trutnov open air festival, Jazzinec, where they opened for Eric Truffaz, Eurojazz in Mexico, Brussels Jazz Marathon in Belgium, and Lotos Jazz festival, where they opened for JAZZANOVA. After years of hibernation, this unconventional jazz trio is wide awake and ready for new adventures.
