Andreas Polyzogopoulos Trio

Andreas Polyzogopoulos trio (Greece / Official participation)

Andreas Polyzogopoulos (trumpet, sound effects), Petros Klampanis (double bass), Wajdi Riahi (piano)

Andreas Polyzogopoulos' pursuit of his musical dreams took him on a journey through Europe, where he trained and learned from the greats of the European jazz school. Today, he stands as one of the most influential performers in modern Greek jazz; his journey is a testament to the power of persistence and hard work. The skilled trumpeter has already released five albums, all showcasing his adventurous and daring exploration of new soundscapes. His most recent one, "Petrichor", is a tender and nostalgic work he created with Petros Klampanis and Wajdi Riahi. Although percussion is absent from the mix, the music's natural flow and dynamic rhythm are still present, creating a sweet and relaxing atmosphere. He will perform, as Greece's official participation at the Athens Jazz Festival, deepening his connection to his homeland with this minimalist yet sweeping composition.
