Athens Jazz Festival is proud to welcome its first band from Latin America, the Argentinian band BI. Founded by the talented Ravasi brothers out of Cordoba, the quartet uses minimalistic melodies, addictive beats, and disarming honesty to craft a musical universe that blends Latin tradition with fusion groove and jazz spontaneity. They followed up the freshness and emotion of their 2022 EP Al Menos Hoy with the single “Marco Wong” in 2023, cementing a contemporary aesthetic that is unapologetic about its international jazz influences. Their live project BI 4 is further proof of the quartet’s momentum and the explosive groove that electrifies their live performances. With every note, BI bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, delivering a sound that is fluent in the language of contemporary jazz without losing sight of its Latin roots.
