Military Big Band of Athens

The Military Big Band of Athens was created in 2011. The Band’s repertoire includes jazz and Latin pieces as well as covers of Greek songs in similar style. The Military Big Band of Athens has performed live in various venues in Greece and abroad, such as the Belgrade Summer Festival BELEF in Serbia, the Acropolis Museum, the Byzantine & Christian Museum in Athens, the Athens War Museum, the Auditorium of the Pallini Music School, on shows hosted by the public radio station Third Programme as well as the Thessaloniki Concert Hall as part of the 7th ISME Conference, receiving excellent reviews. In 2015 the Band released their first album STUDIO E2, an independent production of the Hellenic Army General Staff with the support of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation ERT.
