ERIK TRUFFAZ

One of the most important forms of contemporary jazz internationally and the artist who has taken care of as few to substantially and creatively expand the scope of music we perceive as “jazz”. A musician from a very young age, Erik Truffaz found his calling through Miles Davis' “Kind of Blue” album and the multifaceted new perspectives the innovative jazzman opened. The breadth of Erik Truffaz's music has been documented in several records – on Blue Note, the historic jazz label – spanning over three decades and still surprising with its versatility and freshness. Through straight jazz, hip hop, drum 'n' bass or world sounds, Truffaz shapes his own jazz world with a recent sample of the film adaptations of the album “Strollin'”.
