Conference Women in Jazz: Women representation in music

Why are there still more male than female musicians, is the female representation in music growing? Are women taken seriously in the jazz music scene? Is it harder in the beginning of a career? The discussion wants to bring some light to the question if women have the same chances and opportunities in the music business, and especially in performing and composing in their countries and internationally.
