Two musicians who barely knew each other, with rich CVs in fields beyond jazz boundaries, further tightened their creative spirit by creating a duo that explores sound communication channels and builds bridges between styles, genres and traditions of different music worlds. Jan Van and Fotis Siotas blend northern Greek tradition with modern experimentation, creating a post-traditional acoustic sound that seamlessly merges the primordial with the contemporary. Their music penetrates all the intermediate stages of this transition, resulting in a unique and captivating listening experience. In their two albums, Folks Nowadays (2023) and ΒΚΧΣ (2024), the band has clearly defined their unique musical identity through their timeless artistic language.
