Guitarist and composer Giovanni Palombo belongs to the generation and "school" of a modern "whole" musical approach that mixes classical and modern tradition with jazz and ethnic elements - presenting his music either as a virtuoso soloist or with various eclectic musical formations. One of them is the Acoustic Trio (with vibraphonist Francesco Lo Cascio and accordionist Feliciano Zacchia) moving through a sound-rhythmic atmosphere strongly characterized by Mediterranean melodic elements and ethnic-jazz improvisation. Each member of the group has their own musical identity (with jazz, folk, rock and classical standards) which, as a whole, defines the group effect. The group's music is beautiful and emotionally charged, and Giovanni Palombo's long and varied professional experience compositionally characterizes the result.
