Guitarist Greg Lamy is an American from New Orleans, who lives, moves and creates between Luxembourg and Brussels. There he studied classical and electric guitar in the late 80s and specialized in jazz technique. Like many musicians of his generation he also studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and since 2001 has formed the Belgium-based Greg Lamy Quartet. The repertoire of both himself and his group consists of jazz standards and personal compositions, with an approach characterized by a serious knowledge and sense of the jazz tradition, interpreted with special feeling.
