Guilfoyle/Nielsen Trio (Ireland)

For more than 15 years the Guilfoyle/Nielsen trio has been Ireland's most important contemporary jazz group. It is internationally recognized as the group that first used unusual rhythmic techniques in the guitar trio format, and taught these techniques widely in jazz schools in Europe and America. His tours include countries in Europe, America, as well as India, China and Turkey. The band's discography includes works under its own name and with Dave Liebman, while individually the members have made their own recordings, either as leaders or as members of other formations. Also, the band has performed with famous stars such as Dave Liebman, Sonny Fortune, Larry Coryell, Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano, Conrad Herwig and Pat LaBarbara.
