Born in 1965, the Dutch pianist is one of the outstanding musicians of the jazz scene both in his country and in Europe in general. With extensive musical studies and multi-awarded as an artist, Jeroen van Vliet has collaborated with musicians such as Bob Malach, Kenny Wheeler, John Zorn, Norma Winstone, Charlie Mariano and others. Thus demonstrating a breadth and skill in various forms of contemporary jazz. He collaborates with the cream of Dutch jazz while, at the same time, he writes music for dance and theater. His discography is also varied: with solo piano, jazz trio, duet, etc. For example, with his new trio (with Pascal Vermeer and Frans van der Hoeven) shown here, he recorded the album “The Poet & Other Tales” in Oslo, at Jan Erik Kongshaug's famous Rainbow Studio.
