JOEL LYSSARIDES TRIO

The 30-year-old pianist is one of the fast-rising stars of the Swedish and broader European jazz scene. His most recent trio album, “Stay Now”, on the German ACT label, places him in a prominent position, offering him several awards and distinctions. Lyssarides has been playing the piano since age four and has significant studies in jazz and classical music in Sweden and Italy. Along the way, he collaborated with great contemporary jazz personalities, such as trombonist Nils Landgren or singer Viktoria Tolstoy, and artists positioned in the opposite direction, such as Anne Sophie von Otter or Dirty Loops! However, throughout his career, narrative melodic jazz remains the central axis for him and his trio.
