Kaisa Kulmala-Trio

Kaisa Kulmala's trio is a new formation of the rich Finnish jazz scene consisting of three talented musicians. Creative and sensitive, they represent the jazz of their country, combining soft musical nuances with particularly contemplative moments, but also with intensities that characterize modern Scandinavian jazz. Improvisation and rhythmic moments are always present in equal amounts in the group's highly expressive music, with original material composed by Kaisa Kulmala and Jori Huhtala. Their first album is to be released by Helsinki Texicalli Records. The creator and pianist of the group, in addition to her musical studies, has been involved in dance and theater.
