Krúe

Through jazz improvisations, traditional influences and electronic elements, this trio from Cyprus opens a direct line of dialogue between the past and the present. Krúe were motivated by their desire to study the rhythms of the world and explore new musical narratives. After the release of their first EP in June 2024, they appeared live at the Rialto World Music Festival and the Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase, where their creative imagination left a lasting impression. Their highly anticipated second album will be out soon. Armed with the atavistic force of the human voice, Krúe use complex rhythm lines and mystical electronic infusions to sculpt a soundscape equal parts primal and modern. It’s set to be another one of those special, transcendent nights at Athens Jazz.
