Louis Matute Large Ensemble

Louis Matute is one of those talented creatures who have managed to transfer elements from their musical roots to a Westernized form in a perfectly harmonious way. A keen guitarist with flamenco origins and musical stimuli from his Honduran father, Matute spent many years studying jazz academically, initially with a quartet and now with the Large Ensemble, where his friend Léon Phal also plays actively, whom we also host in the festival, he has managed to excel in the world jazz scene with participations in important events, for the melodically rich jazz world full of Latin aromas he has created. In this year's release of the group, the vocals are in a prominent position, illuminating the most fragile corners in the synthetic soul of Matute, who has the blessing to carry within him the feeling of the oceanic emotional storm that separates two continents.
