«Nils Berg Quintet»

A member of some of his country's most creative, experimental acts, Nils Berg comes to Athens fresh from the title of "Sweden's best jazz musician" for 2007. Unpredictable and radical, he combines influences from jazz, pop, folk country music and chamber music. The presence of the cello in his new quintet is a clear reference to Chico Hamilton, who is Berg's main influence, along with Eric Dolphy.
