«Szabolcs Olah Quartet»

Following the path of a strong jazz tradition that has distinguished the Hungarian music scene for decades, this quartet establishes its own artistic identity through straight jazz compositions and styles. The group consists of musicians of the younger generation, educated, studied and multi-awarded, who win the impressions and appreciation of the public and experts wherever they appear. At the Young Jazz Musicians festival, Olah was awarded the first prize for guitar soloist and Soos received the special prize for best musician. Mester has already distinguished himself since 1991, in the National Clarinet Competition, but then he preferred to concentrate on the saxophone. Majtenyi has been a student of experienced drummer Istvan Balo and together, they work as a band, knowing each other's musical pursuits perfectly.
