The David Kollar Band

The Slovakian group David Kollar Band consists of three talented musicians. His repertoire includes jazz, funk, ethnic and blues sounds framed by energetic music. Guitarist and composer David Kollar, at a relatively young age, won the award for best music/artistic presence at the event "New Faces of Slovak Jazz" (2005) for his first personal record entitled "Free Your Minds", which was found in top of the list of the best albums of the year. In 2006, with his own trio, he took part in the famous and prestigious Slovakian jazz festival, "Bratislava Jazz Days", playing among famous jazz musicians such as: Richard Bona, Kenny Garett and others. Six months later, the album "Way From East" was released, which received very good reviews for its diversity and dynamics. His group has taken part in many notable European festivals. He also composes music for the cinema.
