Wired Paradise

Yuri Honing is one of the most important saxophonists in the Netherlands, with many awards, extensive experience, extensive tours and a numerous discography. He has collaborated with important musicians such as Charlie Haden and Paul Bley. In addition to his special – and long-standing – engagement with acoustic jazz, he also leads the band Wired Paradise since 2002. The two guitars and the saxophone play the main role and the bass and drums emphasize the rhythmic background creating an electric sound. Most compositions have as a starting point and inspiration movies such as: "Kill Bill", "Usual Suspects", "L.A. Confidential" etc., while beyond jazz, there are influences from the music of Bjork, Iggy Pop and Radiohead.
