Michalis Kamakas returns as the host of the 24th Athens Jazz
Athens Jazz is pleased to announce that Michalis Kamakas will return for the second consecutive year as the host of the festival, taking place from May 26 to June 1, 2025 at Technopolis City of Athens.
Michalis Kamakas is a journalist, radio producer at Kosmos 93.6 and director. He is the creator of the podcast series “Gig time”, which explores the history of the most iconic live performances, festivals, and venues around the world. He also produces and hosts the “Urban live sounds” sessions, a special segment of his radio show “Urban sounds” on Kosmos 93.6, which gives emerging Greek artists a platform to showcase their music. Most recently, he made his directorial debut in documentary filmmaking with “Armanoi oi Vlachoi”, which premiered at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.
With his unique style, deep musical knowledge and warm presence, Michalis Kamakas is set to bring his signature energy once again to Athens Jazz!
