25 Years of Athens Jazz: One Festival, Countless Stories

Athens Jazz turns 25 and unveils its new visual identity, an iconic logo that transforms and moves to every beat, just like the jazz it represents.

Athens Jazz, organized by Technopolis City of Athens, is turning 25 and it’s not just celebrating; it’s turning the occasion into rhythm. The country’s largest jazz festival, a landmark for the Greek and international jazz scene, marks 25 years of sounds, musical explorations, and moments that changed the pulse of the city. 25 years with jazz at the center, exactly as it should be: free, restless, unpredictable.

And this year’s anniversary isn’t just celebrated with music -it’s captured in every image, every beat, every corner of Technopolis, filling the heart of the city with sounds, colors, and energy. In this celebration, it all starts with the festival’s iconic logo, which is transformed through a jam session of images, textures, and ideas. True to its core, yet liberated in its expression.

The visual identity of the 25th Athens Jazz preserves its form, memory, and soul, and alters it in 25 different textures. 25 visual statements, 25 interpretations, 25 stories. Each one conveys a different mood, each one a different manifestation of jazz. From vintage to futuristic, from raw to digital, from handmade to three-dimensional. Just like jazz music itself, Athens Jazz is never the same, yet it is always recognizable. Over the course of its 25-year history, the festival has managed to build a strong identity that is constantly evolving, through musical offerings that always have something different to say.

This ongoing evolution is naturally reflected in its 25th edition, which arrives bolder, more outward-looking, and more vibrant than ever. An international, eclectic program that crosses borders and redefines the boundaries of jazz will take the stage again this year at Technopolis, with the Greek night holding a special place, as always. For this celebratory year, the format is changing, and the stage is being handed over to headliners from previous Athens Jazz festivals, who will present two unique projects.

From May 25 to 31, 2026, the anniversary edition of Athens Jazz will honor what has come before, celebrate what is happening now, and pave the way for what is to come. The festival’s lineup and accompanying events will be announced soon. Athens Jazz is turning 25 and playing louder than ever. Stay tuned!
