Joan Shields-German Lema

Joan Shields grew up in the West of Ireland where she studied classical piano, while she also decided to study voice, thus discovering jazz. Her voice quickly became her main instrument. He studied singing with internationally renowned teachers and was taught to present music and jazz professionally at the Newpark Contemporary Music Center in Dublin. He has taken part in musical events and concerts in Dublin, Western Ireland and Paris. Pianist German Lema recently completed his jazz studies, with distinction, at Dublin's Newpark Center for Contemporary Music, after attending the American School of Music in Paris. He has performed and taught internationally, from his native Argentina to Paraguay, Venezuela, Paris and Dublin and is a founding member of the "Estudio de Jazz", Paraguay's first Jazz Institute. He has written music for radio, television and film.
