24th Athens Jazz | Side events
From May 26 to June 1, Athens Jazz returns for its 24th edition at Technopolis City of Athens with free entry and a lineup that highlights the most adventurous side of jazz. For a whole week, the heart of the city will resonate with modern, unpredictable sounds, dynamic beats and high-octane energy, as 21 live acts from Greece and abroad take over the stage of Technopolis City of Athens.
This year, the country’s biggest jazz festival returns with a fresh point of view celebrating the jazz of today and brings back two free side events popular with the festival’s loyal fans: the week-long Meet Market Jazz Edition at Technopolis City of Athens and the unique Kosmos Jazz Party at Gazarte. These events will once again round out Athens Jazz for those who can’t get enough of that special festival feeling.

Meet Market jazzes it up once again! The city’s most beloved pop-up market returns at the heart of Technopolis City of Athens for its usual jazz edition, more summery and creative than ever. With over 100 exhibitors and more than 25 newcomers, Meet Market promises to fill the venue with vibrant colors, original ideas and a variety of handcrafted creations, from well-designed clothing, unique accessories and standout jewelry to ceramics, posters, natural care and wellness products and tasty artisanal treats by Greek producers. Of course, music is always center stage, with daily DJ sets providing the soundtrack for your shopping before the live acts start, while the outdoor venue offers delicious street food, cool drinks and fun activities for the little ones.

Kosmos Jazz Party

For the fourth year in a row, radio station Kosmos 93.6 gets the Athens Jazz fever and spreads the festival vibe outside the walls of Technopolis City of Athens! Right around the corner from the venue, the Kosmos Jazz Party returns to Gazarte for a night where the virtuosity of jazz meets a powerful blend of soul, funk, blues, afrobeat and disco. DJ sets by Kosmos producers are the ideal warm-up for a live performance that fuses perfectly with the tone of this year’s festival: unexpected and guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor! For the first time, Iliana Tsapatsari, the charismatic singer of Gadjo Dilo, shares the stage with the Datfunk Band, an explosive organ trio that knows how to electrify an audience. Top saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos will be the party’s special guest, promising another intense, passionate experience that music lovers won’t want to miss.
